Ordering & Fulfillment FAQ 

Q: Can I pick up my order in person?

A: Unfortunately, no. We do not have a physical storefront.

   

Q: Can I change/cancel my order?

A: This depends upon what stage of fulfillment your order is in.

   

Q: I forgot to apply my discount code, can I be reimbursed for the difference?

A: Please contact us.

 

Q: I placed an order but it has not yet shipped. What's going on?

A: We process most orders within 24 hours Monday through Friday, though in rare circumstances we may require up to 48 hours for your order to ship, such as if you order on a Friday after 9AM EST or under periods of high order volume.

    

Returns Policy

All returns must be made within 30 days of your date of delivery. Action Method cannot pay for (read: cover) shipping on returned orders, nor will it be responsible for refunding the shipping costs associated with an order later returned to us. 

 
Action Method accepts unconditional returns on the following items:

  • Product that arrived damaged (we must have suitable evidence of damage, including packaging).
  • Unopened products (must be in original packaging).

 

For exchanges and returns please contact us and include the following:

  • Your name
  • Order number
  • Order date
  • Name of the product you wish to return 

 

Return Address

Please contact support@actionmethod.com to request the appropriate address to return any damaged items.

 

Please note that our fulfillment center is not able to accept in-person returns. Unfortunately, even if you live in the vicinity, you must mail your return to the address provided by support.

 

Shipping Information

Please note: As of January 2021 customers will see an increase in cost for standard USPS services. These changes in rates are outlined in this comprehensive notice from the United States Postal Service.  

Undeliverable Packages

If an item is returned to us as undeliverable, please note that we will need to charge the additional shipping fees to re-send the package.

If you decide to cancel your order after it has been returned undeliverable, we will not be able to refund you the shipping charges.

Lost or Damaged Packages

Lost Packages: Please contact us if you have any problems with lost or damaged packages and we will address the specific situation. Please note that any correspondence with postal carriers is the responsibility of the customer, including claims for insurance or refunds on postage.
  

  • PLEASE NOTE: After one month past apparent delivery, we cannot refund or replace lost packages.

 
Damaged Items: In the event your order arrives damaged, please contact us as soon as possible and include pictures of the packaging and specific damage.

With regards to damaged prints: In the rare event that a print is damaged or flawed, we ask that you provide us with photographic evidence within 14 days of receipt. Please be sure to include all original packing materials. We will assess each situation on a case by case basis.

Rerouting Packages

If you find that you have made an error with your shipping address, please contact us with corrected shipping info.  Prior to your order being shipped, we can make the necessary changes.

After your item has shipped, it is possible to re-route UPS packages only.  Please note that re-routing a UPS package will result in an additional fee, as determined by UPS. Note that we cannot re-route UPS packages if they are already being returned to us. 

Domestic Delivery Times & Weight Restrictions

We currently use USPS and UPS for all domestic deliveries. Orders are processed and shipped out within 24 hours of receiving your order. In rare circumstances, processing time may take up to 48 hours. We do not ship on weekends.

If an order is placed after 9AM EST on Friday, please note this will not ship until the following Monday. Once shipped, please add:
 
    • 3 to 6 business days for USPS First-Class Class USPS (packages 13oz and under)
    • 2 to 3 business days for USPS Priority Mail (packages 13.1oz and above)
    • 1 to 4 business days for UPS Ground
 
Please be advised that once your order ships from our warehouse, you will receive a shipping confirmation email that includes your tracking information.

Where Do We Ship?
 
Due to very high shipping rates and abnormally high rates of fraudulent transactions, we are only able to ship to a select number of countries. Below is a list of countries and regions which we currently service. If your country isn't listed, please contact us directly and we will try our best to accommodate your request.

Europe: Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom

International Shipping Rates 
     
On January 27th, 2013, the United States Postal Service implemented its annual price hike. While domestic service within the United States was not significantly affected, the international rates have gone up considerably. In some cases, the cost of shipping one notebook will turn out to be more than the notebook itself.

Our best recommendation for reducing the impact of this price increase on you, our customer, is to increase the size of your orders and plan on purchasing less often. Ordering one notebook on two separate occasions will be much more expensive than buying two notebooks as one order.

If you wish to customize Action Method products for your team or organization, please follow these instructions, and download our custom templates here. Custom jobs begin at quantities of 100. If you'd like to purchase a quantity over 100 that is not listed on our site, please contact us
    
We require up to 3 weeks for production from time of proof approval. Action Journals and Dot Grid Journals require up to 4 weeks for production.
   
*Please be aware that we reserve the right to charge a fee equivalent to 20% of the total cost of a custom order if there is failure to remit payment - or if purchaser backs out - after an order enters production.*
      
Application of custom pantone to interior Action Steps is available at additional cost. Note this is only available for Action products.

Privacy Policy

We recognize that your privacy is very important to you and that it is your right to control your personal information. We know that providing personal information is an act of trust and we take that trust seriously.

Personal Information

If you register for any of the Services you will be asked to provide basic personal information. The information is used solely for notifying you of changes or updates to the Website/Services. Action Method will not store your credit card or debit card details. Further Action Method will not sell, rent or otherwise disclose any of your personal information, including your email address, to any third party without your consent unless: 1) we are required to by law; or 2) if it is necessary to provide the Services.

Action Method uses the following tools and practices in order to communicate with our users and inform our marketing efforts.

Cookies

We use various third-party cookies on the Action Method website, buy links and mailouts in order to build a picture of our audiences, optimize their browsing experience and tailor communications to them. The use of cookies is made clear on each website, and you have the option of allowing or denying their use upon your visit. These include cookies for platforms including -

Google Analytics to measure and analyze anonymized platform traffic.

Facebook in order to create a 'pool' of anonymized audience members, based around specific interests or actions, in order to tailor communications and advertising about Action Method and related products only on Facebook-owned platforms.

Google Adwords in order to tailor website and YouTube advertising about Action Method related products only to relevant, anonymized audience pools.

We add these cookies to platforms such as Linkfire or SmartURL for the purpose of analysing who (anonymously) and how users may engage with 'buy links' for our products, which platforms or stores they engage with, in order to better tailor communication and provide offers around said products, and also inform our marketing of said products.

We may also include the pixels above from authorized advertising agencies from time to time, at our discretion and only under the terms above. We use third-party audio and video embeds on Artist websites in order to provide options for engaging with audio and video content - these embeds may include cookies from the host platform, used in accordance with their own privacy policies.

If you wish to remove cookies from your browser, you are free to do so via your browser's settings at any time.

Mailing Lists & Email Communication

We host email lists for the use of email marketing communications for our brand, via Mailchimp. These lists are built through direct, opted-in email sign-ups via the Action Method website and platforms, and via product purchases via actionmethod.com where permission is given by the purchaser.

We may use email information in line with advertising platforms in order to tailor advertising communications about Action Method only to specific profiles, and only where an email address has been provided in order to receive information about that product specifically.

We include Unsubscribe and Preference Review options on all our email marketing as standard, and you are free to update or remove your information from our databases at any time via these methods.

Ecommerce

In order to provide our ecommerce services to you, we need to transfer relevant details to trusted third parties such as PayPal, Stripe, and Whiplash in order to fulfill digital and physical orders. If we stop using their services, data held at these platforms will either be deleted or anonymized.

Security

Action Method has implemented technology and security features, as well as strict internal guidelines, to safeguard the privacy of your personal information from unauthorized access or improper use. We employ SSL encryption to secure your personal data and payment information. We will continue to enhance our security procedures as new technology becomes available. While we make every effort to ensure that your information is secure on our system, no data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. As a result, we cannot guarantee the security of any information you transmit to us, and you do so at your own risk.
